Thomas' mother, Clara Jolayne Bore passed away on December 7 after fighting cancer for a couple of years. Losing the matriarch of a family is never easy and we were so grateful to all of our family and friends who extended much love and concern to us during such a difficult time. But we are so thankful for the plan of salvation and for the knowledge that Nana continues to share her talents and abilities in a different place. Aiden says Nana is Jesus' helper.
No one can ever take her place and she will be sorely missed. As we were driving to Stirling Thomas and I were talking about his Mother and all of her talents. One thing I have always noticed about her was that she had an answer for everything. If you had a baking question, call Nana. If we had a gardening question, we'd call Nana. If an answer was needed for sewing, discipline, organization, canning, cooking....whatever it was, Nana knew the answer. As we visited with friends who came to the funeral and viewing I was amazed at how many people said, "Now who am I going to call when I have a gardening question," or, "Now who am I going to call when I have a question about canning?" or "Your mother knew so much."
Truly, she was s woman who knew much, served others even more and was a living example of how the Savior wants us to serve others.
What a great example for us and our children to follow.
