Houston, We Have Lift Off!!!

It's the news we've been waiting to hear for weeks.

The boys left Iraq today and will be home in about a week. Truly, the Lord has answered our prayers and has watched over and protected them in abundance. There have been several things that have been factors in their departure. It just seemed like one thing after another.

The troops coming in to replace them were in Kuwait when chicken pox broke out. So all traffic stopped and no one could leave Kuwait until the virus was quarantined. Then, the company that provides the flight from Kuwait to the US went backrupt, and so there were expected delays in leaving Iraq until it could be figured out. And, to top it all off, right now is the windy, sand storm season. When the storms are too strong the flights are cancelled. When the boys were going into Iraq their trip was delayed by several days because of these storms.

So we've prayed and prayed that the weather would be tempered and they would be able to leave without any delays.

Truly, we have all been blessed to see how the Lord has blessed our family and my brothers in every way possible.

Hey - Jayci here. Remember me? I found your blog thru Rebecca and Matts...I hope it's ok. Anyway - Thru e-mails with Kera I heard that Jake and Travis are coming home. I'm so glad that they are coming home and that they're okay! When they were shipped off, I was worried for your family. So, YEAH! Your blog is awesome. You're so creative and talented.
