Today we welcomed "back to the fold" seven trains who had been missing for four months.
Whenver we asked Aiden where his missing trains were he would say, "In the bushes." At first we didn't quite get what he meant until one day we saw him chuck a train out the window.
The flowerbeds outside of our house have quite a few, overgrown ferns and for a little train it would certainly seem like a jungle to get thrown down there.
Dr. Tom had been cleaning out one of the flower beds when he discovered one train, and then one more and before we new it, his gardening assignment tunred into a train resuce mission.
We washed them all off and lined them up on the counter. Aiden was over at the neighbor's playing so we called him to come up and see the surprise on the counter.
And let me just say...he was one very excited little boy. When he recognized the trains as ones he hadn't seen in quite a while he was completely estatic. He pointed at each saying their name, then grabbed Madge and said, "I need to hook Madge up with her truck" and away he ran to find Madge's other half.
So welcome home Diesel 10, Chinese Dragon, Toad the Brakevan, Molly's tender, Gordon, Madge and Duck. We're glad you're out of the bushes.

That's so funny! I wonder why kids do some of the things they do...Do you think we'll ever know? :)
I'm so happy Aiden has been reunited with his trains. On Saturday I took Hyrum to the nursery aged Aiden's Birthday party and he totally thought we were going to your Aiden's party. Before we arrived we stopped to buy a present and I asked Hyrum what he wanted to buy for Aiden and he said "Thomas the Train of course!" It was cute! After I explained to him which Aiden we were going to go see, we opted on another gift.
