Favorite Summer Song - #9

The Summer Song I've selected next on my list may catch you by surprise. It's not your typical, let's get rocked, party-it-up song.

But the memories I associate with this song are summer-related and ever since I combined the two together, this music has become a favorite.

After celebrating our marriage at an open house in Canada, Thomas, myself and my paretns went on a little trip. We first drove north and went up to Calgary and spent a few days in Banff National Park, and then started southward again and part of our journey took us through Glacier National Park.

I can not express to you the absolute magestic beauty of this place. Have you ever been to a place and took pictures and when you got home those picutres weren't nearly as beautiful as what you saw and experienced in person?

That's what it was like at Glacier National Park. At every turn I was mermerized and amazed all over again. The beauty of the tall peaks...the hundreds of waterfalls next to the road with the spring water splashing down the granite stone...the aqua color of the water that sparkled in the sunlight...

And while we were driving through the park we listened to music by John Williams. The combination of this incredible scenery with his music was like being in my very own private IMAX movie theater.

So my #9 song on the list comes from John William's Greatest Hits. There's two CDs full of beautiful scores and music, but this particulr song is one of my favorites.

It's the theme from Jurassic Park.

Ever since our trip to Glacier, I love to put these CDs in when we're on a drive and no matter where we're at - in the deserts or the mountains - I look out over the land and marvel at this beautiful world that's been created for us to enjoy.

What awesome photos! Did you take all of these? You really make me want to get out and go on a road trip despite the high price of gasoline!
