Afternoon Entertainment

Thanks to his Dad, Aiden has recently become a number one fan of watching airplanes come in for landing.

The first time we did this, he only wanted to sit in the car and listen to the big roar as they would fly right over us. Dr. Tom tried pulling him out of the car but it was a little too scary for some reason.

So on Thursday when Dr. Tom got home we went for a little drive and ended up back down at the airport per Aiden's request. We waited and waited and planes weren't coming in and that's when we discovered they were coming in from the south instead of the north.

And as luck would have it we found the perfect little road that was directly under the flight path. We were able to park the car and just watch the planes as they thundered above us. It was quite chilly so Aiden and Dr. Tom would just pop their heads up through the sun roof right before the plane came over.

You know, it ended up being a fun little excursion and we're excited that Aiden is finally showing some interest in something else other than trains!
