Why?

WHY can he wake up on Saturday mornings without an alarm clock, but needs me to push him out of bed the rest of the week?

WHY does this remind me of watching cartoons on Saturday mornings as a kid?

WHY is it so exciting to see where the "College Game Day" show is broadcast from each week?

WHY can't we just watch one game? Why do we have to watch many games, even if we're not fans of the teams we watch?

WHY do we watch all of the games and THEN watch ALL of the replays and highlights, from games we've ALREADY watched, on two or three different sports shows? Isn't it the same stuff?

If anyone can explain this to me with logic that is reasonable and understandable I will be forever grateful to you.

Oh dear, reading this reminds me of my own life. Why do we have to watch all the teams in the conference before and after they play Utah? Why do we watch ALL the games and watch them ALL week long thanks to the DVR? Why do we have to watch each play over and over again? Maybe these will be answered after we die.

Funny, you know I can't relate on the same level at all, but Saturday night I was thinking "why" too. Stephen was listening to the BSU game over the computer since we have 0 cable and most BSU games aren't televised anyway. He had to turn it off for a minute for the prayer on dinner and we missed a touchdown. Then he had to turn on the TV and just watch some random teams in silence while he listened to the BSU game and I thought "why?". Why is this starting to happen to me?? ha ha-

This reminds me of my childhood - I used to dread the fall because of football season. Jason is not into football BUT he is SUPER into politics and I have watched enough of THAT for a lifetime I think. My "WHY" is more "why isn't it Nov 4th already?"

I hear ya! Sometimes Justin will watch a baseball game online but you don't even see the game happening. All it is is an update every couple minutes of what may have happened! This is usually while a golf tournament is blaring on the tv and he is talking on the phone to a buddy about last nights game! UUGGHH

Hey, don't blame me. I never watch the sports thing and didn't while they were growing up. Has to be an acquired thing which fortunately I have avoided. Dr. Tom's Dad

It's genetically programmed into us. Do not try to change this. Resistance is futile. you will be assimilated.
